The Alters is a science fiction survival game that has an interesting premise. You play as Jan Dolski, the only survivor of a mission that crashed on a very dangerous planet. Now, you have to build a new team for your moving base to survive.
With the help of a material known as Rapidium, you assemble different versions of Jan, the alters, each built with one key choice in his past.
Survival is fighting with the hardest moral choices, and above that lies a story with multiple paths, deep relationships, and hard choices.
The game raises the big question: do we control our future, or does it control us? This makes your fight for survival a personal one.
Make use of the quantum computer in your base to perceive which decisions would have changed Jan’s lifetime in the past. Each Alter, possible through Rapidium, will exhibit different abilities and emotions. These distinctions will differ, favoring some and testing others as you deal with personal conflict while keeping your crew together.
Follow the planet’s surface to keep your base running and find valuable resources such as metals and organic materials. Leaving safety, however, is always dangerous; you and your Alters might be faced with deadly hazards and constant solar radiation.
